More South Percy Exploring
We went ashore again this morning to explore South Percy Island, rather than just the beach. It was well worth it. There used to be some sort of quarry or sand mining here in the past. The legacy of this is a series of ravines which have been eroded further over time. The sharp cliffs and the rich red soil are a lovely contrast to the rolling green grassy hills. There are also sandstone rocks that have been eroded by the wind, leaving a scene which looks like a virtual lunar landscape. Anyway, I’ll let the pictures do the talking……
